Health & Wellness Workshops

wisdom and self-healing power. In this class you will learn
how increased body awareness, mindful breathing and stress
relief strategies can help you restore your natural equilibrium.
Please bring your own blanket and pillow.

Easy Ways to Better Health and Nutrition
In a lifestyle that glorifies instant gratification,
fast foods and quick-fix solutions, the long-term consequences
of certain reflex actions, eating habits and even thinking
patterns that support these habits are often neglected. These
patterns of actions, and the habitual thoughts behind them,
can often promote disease such as cancer and other major health
problems. Therefore the first serious step toward better health
is a thoughtful, well-balanced diet. Because each one of us
is a unique individual possessing his or her own distinct
biochemical variations, there is no set, rigid diet that applies
to everyone. There are, however, universal central tendencies
and cause-and-effect relationships that we all share as human
partakers of Nature's bounty. This course will help you understand
the basic rules of a mindful, healthy and balanced nutrition.

Women's Wisdom for Modern Health
Since thousands of years, women have been the
care-givers for family and nature. Blessed with innate wisdom,
they used their intuition and knowledge of healing plants
to prevent disease and ease suffering. Hildegard of Bingen
(1098-1179), a German mystic and prophet, had divinely-inspired
visions throughout her life. These were the source of her
highly-valued system of healing based on a multi-dimensional
approach to the body, mind, emotions and spirit. In this class
we will compare Hildegard's message with the wisdom of other
healing traditions. Understanding the connection between a
healthful life-style and spiritual unity can inspire you to
discover a new vision of balance and peace in your life.
