Seybold-Haynes Art Cards Miniaturen in Mixed-Media Technik
Dr. Seybold-Haynes’ involvement in creating art cards began while working at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Linz, Austria. She once helped a young, terminally-ill leukemia patient in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit to make his own Christmas cards. From this experience, Christa discovered a genre that could fuse her own long-standing love for various artistic techniques.
Each of her art cards is carefully hand-made
using everyday materials. She employs fabrics from different
cultures, her own hand-made paper, kitchen spices, dried herbs
and flowers, original embroidery, crochet, buttons, sea shells
and an assortment of other special objects.
